Our Favorite Nature Walks for Integration Near WildGlow Alchemy

One of the most common pieces of integration advice we give at WildGlow Alchemy is surprisingly simple:

Go for a walk.

Not a hike that leaves you exhausted.

Not a workout.

Not an ambitious adventure.

Just a walk.

After a psychedelic journey, many people feel called toward nature. The nervous system often craves fresh air, sunlight, water, trees, birdsong, and open space.

Nature has a unique way of helping insights settle without forcing them.

You don't have to analyze your experience.

You don't have to figure everything out.

Sometimes healing happens simply by moving your body slowly through a beautiful place.

If you're visiting Denver for your journey—or if you're a local looking for supportive integration spaces—these are some of our favorite nature spots in and around the Denver area.

Denver Botanic Gardens

If we could recommend only one integration destination, this might be it.

The Botanic Gardens offer a gentle, sensory-rich environment filled with flowers, trees, water features, quiet pathways, and places to sit and reflect.

Unlike a traditional hike, there is no destination.

You simply wander.

Many clients find themselves naturally slowing down here.

Bring a journal. Sit on a bench. Follow what catches your attention.

Integration often happens in moments like these.

Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge

Just a short drive from WildGlow Alchemy, this refuge feels surprisingly expansive for being so close to the city.

Wide-open skies, prairie landscapes, lakes, deer, bison, and countless birds create an environment that invites perspective.

If your journey left you feeling emotionally full, this is a beautiful place to stretch out and breathe.

Crown Hill Park

One of Denver's hidden gems.

Located in nearby Wheat Ridge, Crown Hill offers walking paths, water views, wildlife, and plenty of quiet corners.

It's especially lovely for a slow morning walk with a coffee and journal.

Standley Lake Regional Park

Close to Westminster and WildGlow Alchemy, Standley Lake offers beautiful mountain views, walking trails, and peaceful shoreline access.

For clients staying nearby, this is often one of the easiest ways to reconnect with nature without spending much time in the car.

Sloan's Lake Park

If you want something accessible and close to the city, Sloan's Lake is a wonderful choice.

The path around the lake provides water views, mountain vistas, and plenty of opportunities to walk at whatever pace feels right.

Sunrise and sunset are especially beautiful.

Clear Creek Trail

Running through portions of Wheat Ridge and Golden, Clear Creek offers a quieter alternative to some of Denver's busier parks.

The sound of moving water can be deeply regulating after a journey.

Many clients naturally gravitate toward rivers and streams during integration.

There is something about flowing water that helps us remember how to let things move.

Chautauqua Park (Boulder)

If you're willing to drive a little farther, Boulder offers one of our favorite integration destinations in Colorado.

Chautauqua feels almost magical.

The iconic Flatirons rise above expansive meadows and gentle walking paths.

You don't need to complete a challenging hike to enjoy the space.

Simply sitting beneath the Flatirons can feel profoundly grounding.

For many clients, Boulder strikes a beautiful balance between nature, spirituality, and community.

After your walk, consider grabbing tea, browsing a bookstore, or spending some time wandering Pearl Street.

NCAR Trails (Boulder)

For those wanting a slightly quieter Boulder experience, NCAR offers sweeping views, wide trails, and incredible opportunities for reflection.

The landscape feels expansive without requiring a strenuous hike.

Perfect for processing, breathing, and letting your thoughts unfold naturally.

Evergreen Lake

Evergreen is one of our favorite nearby mountain towns for integration.

Just 30–40 minutes from Denver, it offers towering pines, fresh mountain air, and a slower pace that many people find deeply nourishing.

The path around Evergreen Lake is gentle, beautiful, and accessible for most visitors.

Bring a warm drink and take your time.

There is no rush.

Alderfer/Three Sisters Park (Evergreen)

If you're craving a little more forest energy, this park offers beautiful pine-covered trails and quiet places to sit among the trees.

Many people report feeling naturally contemplative here.

The forest has a way of holding things without asking us to explain them.

The Best Integration Walk

People often ask us which trail is best.

The answer is:

The one that feels supportive.

The one where you can move slowly.

The one where you can pause.

The one where you notice the sunlight coming through the trees.

The one where you remember to breathe.

At WildGlow Alchemy, we don't believe integration needs to be complicated.

Sometimes it looks like therapy.

Sometimes it looks like journaling.

Sometimes it looks like sitting beside a lake, watching a bird land on the water, and realizing you don't need to have all the answers yet.

Nature has been helping humans heal long before we had words like "integration."

Trust yourself.

Take a walk.

Let the medicine keep unfolding.
